London Euston Protestors call for Gaza Ceasefire
Today, protests took place across London calling for a ceasefire to the war occuring in Gaza.
Hundreds of thousands took to the streets in central London to call for a ceasefire in Gaza after Israel's ground offensive.
Police estimate that approximately 300,000 demonstrators joined the march on Saturday, where many shouted: “Stop bombing Gaza” and “Ceasefire now”.
It is the largest Palestine solidarity demonstration held in the UK so far, which fell on the same day as the annual Armistice Day.
More than 100 pro-Palestinian protesters were detained by police after breaking away from a march that took place through London. The charges relate to offences including assault, possession of weapons, inciting racial hatred and possession of drugs.

Some of the anger was also directed at the now former Home Secretary Suella Braverman, after she defied No 10 writing an article for The Times in which she described the pro-Palestine protests as “Hate marches.”
She also accused the Met of having "double standards" and the perception that they "play favourites when it comes to protesters".
At an earlier protest on November 4th, outside Euston Station, many protestors were also questioning Keir Starmer’s role in the conflict after he failed to speak out for a ceasefire in Gaza.
After a controversial interview with LBC, the Labour leader was forced to rephrase earlier comments made in an interview with ITV, “I was saying Israel had the right to self-defence… I was not saying that Israel had the right to cut off water, food, fuel or medicines.”
Annan, a Palestinian protester at Euston, described Starmer as a “spineless coward”.
Rachel, another protester, said “In my view I don't see why anyone at all is not condoning [the violence]”
The protests come after Israel began striking Gaza following the Hamas atrocities on 7 October, which saw 1,200 killed and more than 200 taken hostage. The Hamas-run Health Ministry says more than 11,000 people have been killed in Gaza since.
